I have always read about the deceptive tricks that Sai Baba has been doing all through the years1Even after being exposed so blatantly,he seems to command great respect from people all over the world!God knows,rather the Godman knows whats his secret.

Amazing to realise that the whole issue was silently swept under the carpet,with no real outcome.
I think it would need a patient reading/listening/viewing of the following articles/videos to really understand the extent to which this man condescends to,to make a fool of the people of all walks of life,which ranges from the Prime minsiter,to cabinet ministers to prominent sports persons to prominent actors/actresses etc etc.

Oh yeah .. .how did I forget those deceptions. There was one other that was captured and printed in a newspaper (Deccan Chronicle??) where he was photographed pulling a chain hidden in teh base of a trophy. After presenting the trophy, he waved his hands in the air and created an illusion as if he pulled the chain out of thin air.
He is a cheat. Certainly not one to be worshipped.

The one thing that I found Interesting was ... The hospitals his organisation in building,The water supply projects tat they are funding ... etc.
One critic claim that since he is not able to fool anyone with his 'Healing powere' he is making the hospitals... since he cant perform a miricle and get water, he is funding the water projects!
But what one of his NON-BELIEVING Supporter mentioned struck me as true.... As long as he is doing such kind of work, He is atleast better than our politicians.... they are frauds, he might also be a fraud, but as long as he is giving something back to the community .... well and good!

Trusting someone as Godman or not is the relevant individual's faith. If the trust displayed is misused, then there is enough reason - whether godman or not - to shove the person up. In Baba's case, as another visitor has pointed out, lot of useful things to society has been done, including relief works in many places. Isnt this better than Shivsena and Jihadis who rake up the money in the name of religion only to unleash goondaism.
And Kavya talking about eternal powers, EVR Periyar had lots to say about Paramachariar and sankara madam as well. It is still the faith that matters.

Highly debatable topic.Nobody has external power.What the late Paramachariar commanded was probably some genuine respect for his being simple/learned and benevolent..I guess.
But then he was human too and erred majorly when it came to choosing his successors.
Abt Sai Baba - the saffron clad Robinhood..Amazing to see the staunch believers turn a blind eye to all his pranks and try to remain devoted desperately by looking at his charity efforts.
Guess they would have worshipped Harshad Mehta,had he set up hospitals/schools etc in the village he came from.

I should start by saying that my family is one of those that love him and respect him and pray to him.
I have always had a practical look towards things. I have been to his ashram a few times and the thing that impresses me is the fact that an individual can do so much for the public.
Please do not get me wrong, I just appreciate the work he does, the work that the government has not been able to do. This includes hospitals that do very costly and intricate surgeries for free, of course with the help of doctors who donate their time and amazing infrastructure in and around his town.
As far as everything else goes, I am as spectical, but let's not take away the fact that the man has done things that you and I or for that matter none of our readers will ever be able to in our life time.
