Latest I heard was the offer of free computers by ADMK to anyone who passes 12th standard!Wow..!As if that is the second most important thing that the people of Tamilnadu want.The reason I say second in the list of wants is because we all know since a few weeks ago that it is 'Television' that stands as the most needed thing in TN.
The strategy to win an election is to bait the bloody poor junta with an offer of a TV or a computer or bags and bags of rice and make sure its all "free"!Isn't this pathetic?
Does anyone even bother to think about how those people will afford to pay the electricity bill behind the TV or the computer or the gas charge for cooking all those bags of rice?
'Freeya kudthaa phenoyl kuuda kudipaenga!'..This is a phrase that I have always heard my friends say to me,when I buy of those products which offers something else for free.The same phrase applies very aptly to the pathetic tamilian people!
JJ and MK are going crazy in the final minute and this is well obvious from all the 'FREE' offers shes been pulling out in the last minute.The worst is this one offering a free gold thali for women!
Now what about the guys?What does she have to offer them?I won't be surprised even if it came down to these...

Just imagine the financial position of the state, if either alliance were to fulfill their promises. The worst part is PC, who is known to be very strict in his approach to subsidies, is ranting off saying "Idhu saathiyam thaan."

I have to agree on the scenario of Tamil Nadu politics the way you have described it. But with Lok Praritan in the scene, if I were a voter, I would be in a situation. The guys who are standing as candidates actually have no background in political sciences (not that any of our politicians have any but experience counts). As per their interview, they do not have a structure as of yet. It is more like known devil or unknown angel ; Michelle Lee or Anika Sorenstam. Choosing the young and hot with no experience may be a tiptoe through the minefield. Note .. I said MAY. I am keeping my fingers crossed

So why is it a fashion for the so called "educated" folks to say Vote for Lok Paritran. If the educated folks are in power, all our TN or Indias problems would be solved. These are some fav lines of the educated people. Honestly, where was Lok Paritran before three years? why does this party come into existence only during elections? why dont these educated people do some ground work for 5 years and then contest the elections..basically, they say "elect me as an MLA and I will start working". But I wont do any work for free. According to me, a party like DMK or ADMK is better than these Paritrans. Maybe if these educated folks come to power, they will corrupt scientifically, I mean without getting caught.. Thats all they will do better. so,how about going to villages and start working there and try to understand the peoples probleme before just saying stuff like this. I believe most educated folks like you, think TN is only Madras and you guys dont understand the problems that people face in the Andipattis and other roadless, waterless, powerless villages in TN. So, anyday, I would choose either the DMK or ADMK than parties like Lok Paritran. I cant vote for them just because they are geeks and went to IIT.
