The Hindu : Neither carrot nor stick works with Vellaiyammal

This kinda treatment metted to the elephants is definitely rude.I think this is the second news iteam of the same kind that I am reading in the past 2 days...Can't the temple folks think???They could easily trick the animal by other innovative ideas.They could lay out a caumoflaged sheet on the truck which resembles some kinda surface where the elephant could take a step without any fear.May be a sheet which resembles grass or something..Well..we can never say..Elephants have exhibited better show of brialliance than humans..Anyway I pity them for this.
